Our goal is to unlock some of the Bass Coast’s best-kept secrets.
The way we do this is a little different... there are no cars, boats or buses.
We ride fat bikes.
What’s a fat bike? A fat bike is a bike with fat tyres- in our case 112mm wide. We run them at a very low pressure (between 3 and 6 psi), which gives the bike (and rider!) great floatation over the beach sand- making it easier to ride than walk! This gives even the novice cyclist confidence-inspiring stability on loose terrain. The low tyre pressures also give the tyres a natural squish which helps soak up bumps and keep the riding smooth. Bass Coast Fat Bikes runs a fleet of Muru Titanium fat bikes in a range of sizes. The frames are comparatively light and they handle beautifully, whether on the beach, grass or gravel tracks. Bass Coast Fat Bikes runs guided tours for up to 6 people at a time. Tour lengths range from 10 kilometres to 44 kilometres. If you have a group of four or more and you’re looking for a tailored tour (such as focusing on photography opportunities, wildlife or local history) please contact me with your request and we will make all efforts to accommodate your wishes.
